Still the desire
burns within
to choose the right
over deadly sin.

I long for those
around me too
to stand up tall
and live whats true.

I'll try and be
your hands today
it will begin
as i kneel to pray.

For strength to lift,
for eyes to see,
for ears to hear,
who may call me.

I love thee so
I'll live your way
just say my name
and I'll obey.

Down day

Won't somebody please
take this away,
or at least
dull the pain?

Give me a reason,
help me understand why
my current struggle
is an aching inside.

It's not through sin
or ill choices I've made.
Nor do i think
there is another to blame

It's 'one of those things'
I guess you could say.
A trial to face
for ONE season I pray.

Untitled

You're sad inside from choices
that you and another have made.
You try to put things right
cause you don't want the spirit to fade.

I see the disappointment
you have in yourself alone.
These guilty feelings will guide you
as you travel the journey home.

Don't let Satan destroy you
with thoughts like 'things are fine.'
make a stand today
and live up to potential divine.

You have so much to offer
you are one with royal blood
continue to study, learn and grow
as you journey toward motherhood.

Knowing me Knowing you

I've watched your silent tears trickle,
I've sat with a listening ear.
I've seen you sob your heart out
on the shoulder of a friend so dear.

You've witnessed my worry and weeping,
You've listened when I've been down.
You comforted in times of trial
and removed my ugly frown.

Ive seen tears that flow from laughter,
you've captured smiles that just don't end.
Its safe to say I know you
and you know me, my friend.

Mission!

It's time to start preparing
for the even is drawing nigh,
soon i will be leaving
on a plane ill have to fly.

My missions getting closer
for this i cannot wait,
I love to share the message
that makes me feel so great!

The dentals been completed
its the medical i need,
and the a couple of interviews
before i get to leave.

Ill be going through the temple
a very special time for me,
to promise to my saviour
I'll be all that i can be.

I pray I'll be successful
being an instrument in his hands,
I'm praying ill be strong enough
to convey all his commands.

I will let his spirit guide me
to people waiting a new birth,
ill spread this message loud and clear
to each corner of the earth.

Her talent

She stares at the empty pages
her mind begins to fill,
of what could be written upon them
is this the fathers will?

She must use her talent wisely
to uplift, to teach and advise
she begins to search within her heart
and tears fall from her eyes.

Understanding what has to be done
she lifts her pen once more
and jots the feelings from deep within
her testimony she bore.

Her brand new book will soon be full
of truths that she has learnt,
and as she shares this talent
she will reap the blessings earned.

Line dancing

I strut my stuff the whole night through
when the hanks come into town,
their upbeat music moves my feet
on the dance floor i get down!

Apple jacks and swivels
at twice the speed their meant,
tiny steps to squeeze in place
and knees just slightly bent.

This place is always bumping
I can never get enough,
line dancing at heathcoates
is where I strut my stuff!

Thinking of Nan

The frail frame
you carry today
will soon be resting
in a pot of clay.

Your spirit inside
will then be free,
beyond the veil
people wait for thee.

The body and spirit
apart for a while
before the morn
of an eternal smile.

A perfect body
not a frail frame
all this because
our Saviour came.

Old lady

Old yet young
how can it be?
Inside I'm feeling
childlike and free.

This rugged frame
I carry around
binds me as
I face the ground.

Inside my spirit
cries to live
but body's given
all it has to give.

Death will soon
beat at my door
and spirit will
be free once more.

Knowledge and truth
I know I will gain
until our saviour
comes to reign.

Then I will feel
like I belong,
inside the frame
that's long since gone!
