One man shouted crucify
and so our Lord did for us die.
He gave His life that we might live
He gave us all that He could give.
Jesus rose up from the tomb,
Mary saw the empty room.
The resurrected Lord is near
to ease our burdens, take our fear.
To Him I owe my every breath,
without Him I would end at death.
He took upon him every sin
so we could feel whole within.
This sacred act I will accept
and still forever be in debt,
for this great man did for me die
when another shouted 'crucify'.
