Still the desire
burns within
to choose the right
over deadly sin.

I long for those
around me too
to stand up tall
and live whats true.

Won't somebody please
take this away,
or at least
dull the pain?

Give me a reason,
help me understand why
my current struggle
is an aching inside.

It's not through sin
or ill choices I've made.
Nor do i think
there is another to blame

A trial to face
