My friend whose there
through the thick and the thin
who knows the Lord
and follows Him
My friend who has
a heart so strong
who flees from things
that appear to be wrong
My light in darkness
who shines so bright
and makes me want
to choose the right
My friend, you
are what I need
when I am down
on bended knee
our father sent you
from above
to cheer my soul
and feel His love.

Mark 5:25-34
Her names not mentioned
yet she was real,
and the pain she bore
12 years was healed.
Doomed impure,
forced to carry a bell,
unclean, unclean
she'd have to yell.
No-one would touch her
but the doctors she'd see,
yet they couldn't fix her
nor set her free.
Her faith in the Saviour
was strong and so real,
she knew that He had
the power to heal.
She pushed with courage
past every man,
then fell her knees
upon the ground.
With an outstretched hand
she breathed a sigh,
His hem she caught
as he passed by.
Our Saviour pressing
through the crowd,
suddenly stopped
to turn around.
Who touched me?
A question asked,
the lady hoping
he'd quickly pass.
One hath touched me
again He proclaimed,
the lady appeared
a little ashamed.
Twas I that pushed
through all of them,
I knew if I
but touched your hem..
my broken body
would then be free,
no more this pain
or physicians fee.
and now I feel
no more smart,
there is peace and joy
within my heart.
Thy faith hath made thee
whole, she said,
and then I'm sure
the lady wept.

He is ready
Pen in hand, he is ready to learn.
Eyes fixed, he is ready to see.
Ears opened, he is ready to hear.
Heart softened, he is ready to feel.

Ears opened, he is ready to hear.
Heart softened, he is ready to feel.

Loyalty.
How I wish loyalty were your friend
yet your love knows not how to extend beyond hurt,
disappointment nor frustration
when faced with each situation
you run, you turn or hide
letting Satan destroy you with pride
a wedge is in place
and you now stand to face
the consequences of your disloyal heart.

Change.
Twas you that changed, not I
alas our friendship runs dry.
My course was steady,
I was loyal and true
twas not I that changed but you.

Rain
As i lie listening to the endless splashing of water droplets from way above to the empty streets, not through any man-made device that can mimic the masters creation but the actual creation itself, my mind ponders over your latest well written peice, 'why i love the rain' or 'rain'.
I listen to the 'something' that surrounds me longing to FEEL the power and beauty of this 'common enemy', yet, with my wellies far from me and my warmest coat not nearly waterproof reason forces me to stay only hearing the pounding outside my front door.. it would be foolish at this hour, to stand alone, to feel the wonder of this magical moment.. or would it, I question?
Tonight reason wins..

Joy
Looking into your eyes
eyes filled with tears
tears ready to fall
fall upon cheeks
cheeks that are tense
tense from the smile
the smile that follows
follows the feelings
feelings of joy
Joy.

tears ready to fall

cheeks that are tense
tense from the smile
the smile that follows
follows the feelings
feelings of joy
Joy.
